Dell XPS 15z Slimmest laptop ever

The Dell XPS 15z is claimed to be the “thinnest 15-inch PC on the planet” and it is being said that it is inspired from Apple’s flagship gadget.

Design, Display and Sound Features
The interior potion is well designed and perfectly laid out and two big speakers are grilled on both sides of the keyboard which increases the sounds quality. What makes it special is the bright widescreen display which makes it perfect for watching high definition movies and for playing games. Also, it is designed in a way such that it automatically adjusts the backlight giving you perfect black and white pictures.

Wireless Display Technology
The Dell XPS 15z includes Intel’s Wireless Display technology with which one can beam onscreen video to a TV easily with the help of a receiver. The device supports a mini display port, an HDMI out, e-SATA cum USB 2.0 with a 7-in-1 card reader. Like everything in the world has its own share of pros and cons, likewise customers will find battery problems with the Dell XPS 15z. Even if you will try to push the battery to its fullest, it would not last for 2 hours but if used sparingly, it will give backup of up to 4 hours.

Why iPad is still #1?

The iPad is definitely a device unmatched in its class even after the introduction of so many competing devices. There are a lot of reasons why the iPad is still the #1 after so long. Here are some of the reasons why we think it still is:

It is made by Apple

The fact that the iPad is published by one of the most reputable tech company in the world means a lot to the people. Previously, Apple has introduced so many products in the class of its own and it had also gathered a lot of fan base in the process. This in return, helped the iPad to gain its rightful throne.

In addition to that, more research has been done on the iPad than any other devices in its category. In fact, new improvements are added every year with the new version of iPad making it a device craved by so many.

80,000 iPad dedicated apps

With 80,000 applications for the iPad alone, it is a lot more than any other platform in the market. Even the Android is struggling with its tablet platform. Suffice to say that the iPad’s developer base helps with its success in many ways.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes only with Android 2.3?

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a 7-inch tablet screen and has a dual-core processor at 1.2GHz, intended to replace the old model of Galaxy Tab.
Although its dual-core processor is recommended as an ideal candidate for Android Honeycomb, in the design we find the same navigation buttons as the previous model, suitable for Android Gingerbread and not Honeycomb, the version adapted for the tablets of the operating system.

If the operating system is indeed Android 2.3, then the Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet can be interpreted as an oversized version of the smartphone model Galaxy II, based on a similar hardware platform but adapted a tablet format including a high screen resolution.

Unfortunately the difficulties encountered by Samsung at the production of the AMOLED screen types are unlikely to introduce new tablet equipped with such displays.
Such a tablet, though undoubtedly superior to its predecessor, will be put into a lower class of products, where they cannot compete more advanced models based on Android Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich.
We can only hope that the price asked by Samsung for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet will significantly lower than that of the Android Honeycomb, Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 could be officially presented after 1 September at IFA 2011 CES.

Archos will release a tablet with a 250GB

Archos is preparing to launch an Android Honeycomb 3.2 tablet that will come equipped with a 250GB hard drive. Archos G9 will be equipped with HDD Seagate Momentus Thin of 250GB, with a thickness of 2.5 inches (about 7 millimeters). It is not as compact as the 1.8-inch hard drive, like the one used by Apple in MacBook Air notebooks and iPods, and is also not as expensive as it.

Archos will release a tablet with a 250GB HDD. The Seagate drive has had small changes, enabling it to act like flash drives found in most tablets on the market.

Thus, the G9 will have 4GB of flash storage, which will be integrated into most frequently used data, which will allow faster access for the standard HDDs of 2.5-inch. Another important feature is the dual-core processor named Texas Instruments OMAP 4460 of 1.5 GHz, the same chipset that Apple has approved for the future devices like Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

This means that users can expect a new wave of tablets and Smartphone’s built around the TI 4460.

The 8-inch version Archos G9 will be priced for 369.99 dollars, while 10-inch model will be available for 469.99 dollars. Both are scheduled to appear in September. Stay tuned for more details.

With the popularity of High Definition Television and High Definition channels, there have been innovations every day in the field of display technologies.

The projector comes with 500 lumen lamp and Acer Color-safe II technology along with 1280X800px resolution. The integrated “Presentation to Go” application can open office and multimedia files as well as provide D-Sub input and Multi-PC connectivity. Priced at around 480 British pounds, the projector is going to weigh really lighter in your pocket.

Aspire S3 Laptops
Apart from this, Acer has also launched ultra-book class of laptops called as Aspire S3 which is set to hit the market by the end of October, this year. Priced between 699 British Pounds and 1,099 pounds, Aspire S3 will provide tough competition to Lenovo, Toshiba and Asus. Incorporated with Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors and with an option of 320 or 500GB hard drive, it will also have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity along with 1.3 MP webcam and two-in-one card reader. Along with this, both the products would have aluminum/magnesium alloy chassis with a finger print free lid.

Intel i5 hyper drive for Apple’s MacBook

Apple will have a high performance power plant for its MacBook which will replace the old plodding one. With Intel’s i5 under the hood speed will be added to a number of MacBook applications.

Improved Performance

The i5-2467M (11.6 inch model) and i5-2557M (13.3 inch model) processors will replace the old Core 2 Duo enhancing the functionality and performance of the gadget. Also there is an option for the Core i7 for adding $100 to the total cost but high processor definitely lead to greater performance balancing the additional cost.

Most Powerful Processor

The results of the initial tests performed over these two MBA models show remarkable gains over various applications including iTunes, Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Multimedia Multitasking. The Intel’s current most powerful processors will now empower the Apple’s MacBook with HD Graphics 3000 also added to the chip by the company. Besides the achievements, no RAM upgradation will be possible which is not lucky for the users who are willing to have more memory as stated by the iFixit.

But as far as performance and speed is concerned, new Intel processors will surely add up all the power to the latest MAB models of the Apple.

Dell Latitude XT2 Touchscreen Laptop

The Dell Latitude XT2 is the company’s very first attempt at creating a tablet PC with multi-touch-support. This 12.1” laptop can be controlled with finger gestures such as a tap for scrolling, pinching, panning, rotating and even zooming. The WXGA display is very sensitive to touch and the dual digitizer enables the user to achieve a high degree of accuracy while using the touchscreen. This laptop also has an LCD-based wireless antenna, which gives great connectivity.
This laptop is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and is pre-loaded with genuine Windows Professional. It supports up to 5GB DDR3 SDRAM, up to 250GB hard drive and an Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator too.

Dell E6400 XFR Rugged Touchscreen Laptop
The Dell E6400 XFR touchscreen laptop is the company’s first venture at manufacturing a completely rugged and waterproof business laptop. It can withstand drops, dust and high pressure, not to mention heavy water sprays as well. Needless to say, this laptop targets army and military personnel, emergency response units and so on.
This laptop is proven to withstand rain and wind up to 70 miles per hour and amazing temperatures in the range of -20 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
The LCD screen of this laptop is made in such a way as to slightly “float” inside the cover. This is what protects it from most of the shocks and damage. This rugged laptop also comes with a nice 3-year warranty.
Other features include a 14.1” touchscreen display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, USB ports, card reader and 6-cell battery.
The Dell E6400 XFR touchscreen laptop is priced at a rather steep $4300 for the most basic configuration. Yet, we have to think it is worth this price, as it is also practically indestructible.
