Archos is preparing to launch an Android Honeycomb 3.2 tablet that will come equipped with a 250GB hard drive. Archos G9 will be equipped with HDD Seagate Momentus Thin
of 250GB, with a thickness of 2.5 inches (about 7 millimeters). It is
not as compact as the 1.8-inch hard drive, like the one used by Apple in
MacBook Air notebooks and iPods, and is also not as expensive as it.
Archos will release a tablet with a 250GB HDD. The Seagate drive has
had small changes, enabling it to act like flash drives found in most tablets on the market.
Thus, the G9 will have 4GB of flash storage, which will be integrated
into most frequently used data, which will allow faster access for the
standard HDDs of 2.5-inch. Another important feature is the dual-core
processor named Texas Instruments OMAP 4460 of 1.5 GHz, the same chipset that Apple has approved for the future devices like Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
This means that users can expect a new wave of tablets and Smartphone’s built around the TI 4460.
The 8-inch version Archos G9 will be priced for
369.99 dollars, while 10-inch model will be available for 469.99
